We Believe

Crossroads Community Church exists to meet people where they are & help them take their next step with Christ...

Our Core Values

Community We hold that life-change occurs best through meaningful relationships and we are committed to providing environments conducive to building significant friendships as a church of small groups.

Our Calling It is our conviction that Crossroads has a place in God's plan to reach our community by meeting people at their point of need.

Redemptive Potential We are committed to helping people realize their full redemptive potential and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Evangelism Lost people matter to God and therefore matter to us. We will be culturally relevant in all we do as a church because we are committed to intentional, relational evangelism.

Vital Worship We maintain a priority of worship as an expression of our intimacy with God. Effective prayer and Bible Study are the means of our relationship with God.

Authority of the Bible Biblical authority must under gird and catalyze everything we do. The Inspired Word of God is the foundation for transformation in the life of the church and in the lives of individuals.

Leadership through Servanthood The church will be led by mature believers who are committed, obedient to God, and have a servant's heart.

Unity within Diversity We highly value the unity of the Spirit and of our mission while celebrating our diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds.

Excellence We are committed to constantly improve every area of ministry because we believe excellence brings glory to God and inspires people.

Stewardship of Gifts and Resources We believe that it is critical for every member of the church to discover and use his or her spiritual gifts and God-given resources. It is normal for each one to utilize those gifts and resources in God's plan to reach the lost and bless His people.

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God. Given that truth, we believe it to be our duty to carefully study what it says and apply it as the supreme and final authority on all matters of faith and life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - equal in nature but differing in roles and functions. Acts 5:3-4

We believe that Jesus Christ is God; that He was born on earth as man; that He lived a sinless life; that He died on the cross for our sins; that He literally rose from the dead; and, lives today ready and able to forgive those who trust in Him. John 3:16

We believe that man was originally created by God and in His own image, but that Adam sinned, marring that creation and separating us from God. We believe that man today is born with a sinful nature and is destined to be eternally lost without salvation through faith in Christ. Romans 5:12

We believe that salvation for every sinner comes solely by the grace of God through faith placed in Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ paid the complete penalty for the sins of every man by His death on the cross. We also believe that all who accept His payment for their sins are adopted into the family of God, and given new life in Him.

We believe that the gift of salvation is available to all. Ephesians 2:8-9 We believe that all who are saved are kept by the power of God and the eternal love of the Father. We also believe that it is the duty of all who are saved to be faithful to their salvation, making Jesus both Savior and Lord. Romans 8:29-39, Colossians 1:21-23

We believe that baptism and communion are practices commanded for every believer. We practice baptism as an act of testimony and obedience following salvation. We celebrate communion regularly as a reminder of Christ's working on the cross. Matthew 3:13-17, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
